I regret to inform you of the death of Robert Ford, A Coy 2nd Tour. Bob had been unwell for a long time, with lung cancer and heart disease. It was the heart problem which took him last Thursday, 30 September.
Robert will be cremated privately today or tomorrow with COVID limitations in mind. His daughter Carly, intends to hold a memorial service on his birthday, 14 Jan, at Wahgunyah, VIC

216433 Cpl Kevin Lindsey Eason passed away on 28 Sep, aged 88 years. Kevin served in 1 RAR from 11 Mar 66 until 4 Jun and then 6 RAR from 5 Jun 66 until 3 Mar ’67. Then 9 RAR from Nov 68 until Nov 69.
His funeral will be in Muswellbrook NSW at a date to be advised.
I have been informed by Mrs Seal that her husband Peter M Seal lost his battle with cancer on the 24th of September 2021. Peter served in 4 RAR in Vietnam in 1971.

Sadly, I have been advised that Graham Buttery passed away on 28 September at the age of 81.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Graham’s funeral service at 10.30am Friday 8 October 2021, at the Mr Gravatt Crematorium Chapel, 582 Mains Road, MacGregor, Brisbane QLD. Unfortunately, the Funeral Notice doesn’t mention if the Service will be live-streamed and there is no information on the Crematorium’s website.
Sad to announce that WOFF Roland James Wilson (RTD) Medic RAAF Rolly, as he was affectionately known, passed away on Sunday night 3rd Oct. Details of the funeral in Brisbane will be posted when known.

WO2 Robert ‘Bob’ Armitage died at home on the evening of 1 October, he had been stoical enduring with multiple conditions over an extended period of time.
Bob deployed to Vietnam with 11 Pl D Coy 5 RAR 2 May 1966 as Pl SGT returning to Australia with the Battalion in 1967. During this tour, he was awarded the British Empire Medal, a Commendation for Distinguished Service and was Mentioned in Despatches. Bob returned to Vietnam as CSM of A Coy on 27 January 1969, completing the tour and returning with 5 RAR in 1970. He also served in 1 RAR, 2 RAR, 4 RAR and Western Australia University Regiment, retiring in 1978 with the rank of WO1.
Funeral details will be supplied as they come to hand.
Sadly, I advise that my husband Brian Peter Bowe, Major rtd.. Medical Corp, passed away on 26th June 2021. He was 87 years old, he would have been 88 on 20th Sept this year. Please pass this on to any other members who knew him.

Sadly, I advise that Gus Ferguson passed away in Toowoomba on Friday 24th September. He served in Vietnam with 1ALSC at Bien Hoa with the 1RAR Group. Gus was an inaugural member of the 173d Airborne Brigade Association Queensland.

Sadly, the latest (Edition 3) RSL QLD News reports that Kenneth (Ken) Sutton has passed away in Maryborough QLD.
Ken was the Drum Major for part of the 1st tour of Vietnam in 1966. He had also served in the British Army.
