VALE: JAMES ANTHONY LAXTON, MORTAR PLATOON 1 RAR, EARLY/MID 1970’S

Sadly, we have received the news that James (Pidge) Anthony LAXTON has passed away.

Robert (Bob) Davis wrote: It is with Heavy heart that our great mate (James Anthony Laxton / 70 / Pidge) has passed away. James was Best Man at my wedding, we rode motor bikes together (his 750 Suzuki Waterbus) he became friends with Julie and My families, he lived with up for a while in Townsville where we served together in the army. 1RAR then later in 6RAR.
My thoughts and strength go out to his Wife (Pam) and his family.
My memories with him are many and I remember them all.
RIP Mate, say hi to Brad for me.

Funeral information: To all family and friends of James due to the public holiday we won’t be having James’s Funeral till Thursday 4.5.23 at 2pm at Albany Creek Memorial Park , Lakeside Chapel 400 Albany Creek Rd Bridgeman Downs. There will be a live stream link provided on the day for those who cannot attend.
