Town Fined Under WA Aboriginal Heritage Laws

ED: This ruling sets a dangerous precedent where mythological beliefs are being enforced through legal mechanisms. While respecting cultural heritage is important, prosecuting a local council for emergency repairs based on the alleged disturbance of a mythical creature is beyond rational governance. This is a slippery slope—what’s next, fines for angering the Dreamtime spirits? Western Australia appears to be prioritising superstition over practical governance, and ratepayers are footing the bill.

WOW!!! No this is the Height of Stupidity. The Government are the only ones who can be blamed for this. I do support the Protection of Religious and Ancient Traditions along with the support of structures as in Churchers, buildings, and Artifacts from other cultures. But to be fined for the disturbance of some methodical creature takes the cake as well as the plate the cake came on.

The Government brought in these laws and there are those who will use them, and other Laws that the Well Educated amongst us have demanded to be enacted, and inforced. The rip offs over the years of Millions of Dollars can only be layed at the feet of the Intellectual’s amongst us who Parade presumably as Politicians for this Great Nation. The average Blue and Dirty collared worker doesn’t have the time of inclination to muck around with this stuff. I am just wondering, am I permitted to declare my home and property a sacred sight, and where the Great White Ghost of the Diviot Past rests and Shelters for Ever??

All too true Ken. II am thoroughly sick of these claims constantly being made where there is no evidence and the hands are usually out for money.

As usual we believe what they say. Evidence/proof not necessary. Stupidity essential.
