Bill, late of Beverly WA passed away on the 20 Nov 2024, aged 79 years.

Bill served in Malaysia with 4 RAR (1965), later in South Vietnam with 2 RAR/NZ (ANZAC) Bn (19 May 1967 – 25 Jun 1968), 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit (23 Dec 1968 – 09 Feb 1969),

4 RAR/NZ (ANZAC) Bn (10 Feb – 13 May 1969(, HQ 1st Australian Task Force (14 May – 08 Jun 1969), 9 RAR (9 Jun – 08 Oct 1969).

Bill was a member of 2 RAR Association for many years.

No formal funeral but a commemorative moment at the Beverley RSL (WA).

We have received advice of the death on 19 November 2024 of Gordon Cyril (known as George) Robinson. He was 89. George served in Malaya with 111th LAA Battery and later with 102nd Field Battery. George served in Vietnam from April 1967 to March 1968 with 106th Field Battery of 4th Field Regiment. His final posting was as a Sergeant Instructor at the School of Artillery, North Head. He discharged in 1971.

I have been advised that Robert Cole ex 4RAR, 2RAR & 2/4RAR has passed away on the 11^th November 2024.  His funeral is to be held on Wednesday the 20^th November 2024  at 1030hrs at the Garden Chappel, Toowoomba Garden of Remembrance, 101 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba  Qld

I regret to record the passing on 5 Nov 2024 of R52724 LRO (A/PORS) William “Carl” Logan RAN following a long illness.
Carl served from February 1957 to January 1967.

A memorial service will be held at 10.00am Wednesday 20 November at Pinaroo Memorial Park, Whitfords Avenue, Padbury WA.

A service for the late Leslie John Stephens, known as John Stephens, will be
held on Monday 11th November at 1000hrs EDST at Simplicity Funeral Chapel,
199 Brisbane Street, Launceston. For those who can’t get there, the service
can be live-streamed at simplicityfunerals.com.au/upcomingfunerals

In honour of Remembrance Day, the service will include the playing of the
Last Post and a minute’s silence. Veterans are welcome to wear medals.

Immediately afterwards, there will be an “afternoon of storytelling and
laughter” hosted by Stevo’s daughter Melissah Mullen, at Unit 2, 11 Sherwood
Close, Prospect Vale.

We have received advice of the death of Brian Thomas Czislowski. He was 87.
Brian served on the gun line with ‘A’ Field Battery in Malaya in 1958/59.
Then he later retrained as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) within the
RAA. He had previously topped a PTI course run by the British Army in
Malaya. He did two trips to Vietnam on HMAS Sydney as the PTI WO2, the
first in 1965 and again in 1968. Brian was eventually promoted to WO1 and
finished his time as the WO1 PTI at the School of Artillery North Head. No
exact details of his death are available.

We have received advice of the recent death of John Stephens MM. He was 86. Stevo served in Vietnam with 102nd Field Battery, of 12th Field Regiment in 1968. He was the gun sergeant of ‘D’ gun at the Battle of Coral and was awarded the Military Medal for his actions during the battle. Stevo had been living in  Prospect, near Launceston, Tasmania. No funeral details are available at this stage.
