Brad passed away last Sunday at the East Maitland Private Hospital, after a short illness, being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Brad was a Nation Serviceman. I have attached his Service Record. Following his service in Vietnam he served in the CMF/Reserves for many years retiring as a Major, for his service he was awarded an AM.

He is survived by his wife Jan, son Todd, daughter Amanda and two grandchildren.

I served with Brad in Vietnam at 102 Field Workshop in 1967.

Brad was a very valued member of the East Maitland RSL Sub Branch.

His funeral will be held in St Peters Anglican Church, William Street, East Maitland, NSW on Friday 21st April commencing at 2:00pm

Sadly, we have received information that John ‘Whitey’ WHITE, PNR PL C/S 62A, East Timor, 2000.

Funeral Details John Anthony Knox Mellis Napier – RAA

The family of the late Knox Napier have advised the following funeral details.

Knox’s family have advised that the funeral will be held on Thursday 20th April 2023. The service will be conducted at the Dover Community Church, Tasmania at 11am followed by a wake
at the Dover RSL.

Please direct any e-tributes or questions about the funeral ceremony to Millingtons Funerals. A recording and photographs will be available on Millington’s website after the event.

We have received advice that Thomas Wayne (Bluey) Cargill died on Saturday afternoon, 15 April 2023. He was 74.

Bluey had not been well for some time. He served in Vietnam with 4th Field Regiment from March 1970 until December 1970.

No other details known at this stage.

My father, Lee Greville died peacefully on Friday morning (14/4) with my brother and sister by his side. He will be happy now as the last month or so has been uncomfortable. Certainly a guiding light in my life.

Vale 47038 John Anthony Knox Napier – RAA

Brian Collins, Secretary of the 101 Battery Association has advised of the
death on 12 April 2023 of John Anthony Knox Napier. He was 81.

John (known as Knox) served in Vietnam with 101 Field Battery from September 1966 until
June 1967. He was initially the Gun Position Officer of the Battery and later promoted to Captain.

He lived in Dover Tasmania and was president of his local RSL Club for some time. He was also a life subscriber of the 101 Battery Association. No funeral details are available at this stage.

Vale 12781 Leslie Tomkinson – RAA

We have received advice of the death earlier today, 11 April 2023, of Les Tomkinson. He was 90. Les served in Butterworth as Battery Sergeant Major with 110 Light Anti-aircraft Battery in 1966-69 and in Vietnam with Headquarters, 1st Australian Logistic Support Group from June 1970 until
June 1971. He died in the company of his wife Rita and other family members.

Vale 1730813 Neville Stanley Hastings – RAA

We have received advice of the death on 10 April 2023 of Neville Stanley Hastings. He was 78. Neville was a National Serviceman who served with the Detachment 131 Divisional Locating Battery in Vietnam from May 1966 until March 1967.

Neville was a Life Member of Mundubbera RSL Club where he was secretary from 1996 until 2013 and President from 2014 until 2016.

RIP Neville Stanley Hastings.
