The ‘A’ Battery Association have advised of the death on 21 October 2022 of Donald ‘Saint’ Sinclair. Don’s son, Greg, has informed the ‘A’ Battery Association of his father’s passing and stated that his father was surrounded by his family and close friends at his home in Manly, Queensland.

Don the ‘SAINT’ was instrumental in putting together the Henry Green Historical Collection at ‘A’ Battery, Royal Australian Artillery, at Enoggera Barracks in Queensland after the collection was damaged in the 2010 floods whilst ‘A’ Field Battery, now called ‘A’ Battery, was relocating from Sydney to Brisbane. The two guns are maintained by ‘A’ Battery, being stored at Enoggera Barrack, at 1 Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. This year these two Artillery equipment’s were paraded for the first time in 5 years on the Anzac Day parade/march in Brisbane.

Don served on operations in Malaya between 1957-59. Don grew up in New Farm and lived at Teneriffe. Before he joined the Army, he was working as a trainee wool classer at Mc Taggert’s down by the river.
