A Memorial Service is to be conducted for “Fordy” in lieu of a funeral, which was hampered by COVID at the Wahgunyah Cenotaph at 11:00am on Friday 14 Jan. After which refreshments and nibbles at the Adjoining Empire Hotel.

Wahgunyah is 298 kilometres northeast of Melbourne and 51 kilometres west of Albury / Wodonga.
As previously advised, Adrian Roberts MG OAM, passed away on the 29th December 2021.
Adrian’s family has now advised that it is now hoped that Adrian’s funeral will occur on the 28th January 2022 at 1300hrs at Holy Trinity Church, 18-20 Theodore St, Curtin ACT.
This will be followed by the interment at Woden Cemetery.
As the COVID situation is constantly changing, the funeral and the interment will be live-streamed. Connection details for this will be forwarded when known.

Given the uncertainty with the pandemic currently, the Armstrong family have decided to postpone Gordon Henry Armstrong’s memorial service until further notice.
We are of course incredibly disappointed but the health and safety of everyone is absolutely paramount, and it is the most responsible action at this time.
We look forward to connecting with you all sometime in the future and will be in touch for any future plans.
Wishing you a wonderful start to 2022, I’m sure dad did a little cheer to you all upstairs as we rang it in.

It is with sadness that I pass on that 295998 Sapper Greg Love lost his battle with cancer on Christmas Eve 2021
Condolences to Greg’s Family and Friends at their loss; He will no doubt be mingling with his shipmates who have departed before him and many a tale of past exploits will be the order of the day. Rest in peace Greg, we won’t forget you and your service to your country.

JOCK ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL POPPY SERVICE
From Eileen Armstrong… In loving memory of Gordon Henry Armstrong aka Jock, the Big Fella, Sensei, papa, brother and son, we welcome you to join us for a ‘Poppy Memorial Service’ as we raise a wee (or not so wee) dram and celebrate dads’ life.
The service will be held in Townsville on Saturday the 29th January 2022, at the Mecure Hotel, 166-194 Woolcock Street Service Rd, Townsville, at 11:30am.
For any current and past military servicemen/women, we encourage you to proudly wear your service medals, and for those who are partial to some tartan, to kilt up. We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the service, and please note, that we will do our best to stream this for the overseas contingency, so stay tuned. We look forward to seeing you and please do share this and help us get the word out.

Joe died of Lung and Brain Cancer on 06 November 21 at home in Paradise SA. His daughter Debra requested that if anyone had photos of Joe In Uniform she would appreciate a copy as the family have not found any amongst his personal effects.

Sadly, we have been informed by Craig Rickards (Ken’s son-in-law) that Kenneth (Ken) James Tronc passed away in his sleep at home in Mt Gravatt overnight.
Ken is survived by his wife, Judith and daughters Gerri and Carly.

I have been advised that the funeral service for George Cunningham will be at the North Chapel Pinegrove Memorial Park on Wednesday, 12th January 2022, commencing at 11am.
The park is located on Kington Street, Minchinbury NSW 2770, near the junction of M7 and Great Western Highway.
