Funeral information is:

Time:  10.30 am.   Date: Thursday 15 June

Place: Coolamon Lawn Cemetery.   Church of England Service and RSL Service

Light refreshments will be provided after the service.

Sadly, we have received word that, Allen EVANS, who served on the 1st tour of SVN with Spt Coy 6 RAR, has passed away.

The following information has been provided by Henry Chisholm:   A notice in the NSW  Reveille magazine that Alan had died, no details of his  passing, he served in 6 RAR on the first tour in Support Company.

Allen EVANS also served with 3 RAR in Korea in 1954.

Additional information will be provided if or when known.

We have been advised of the death on Thursday 1 June of Sitiros (Sid) Angelopoulos. He was 76. Sid served with the RAEME Detachment (LAD) in Vietnam initially with 4th Field Regiment from February 1968 until April 1968 and then with 12th Field Regiment until RTA in February 1969.

Sid passed away after a long battle with cancer. Funeral arrangements have not
been advised at this stage.

It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing of Vietnam Veteran Signalman Gary Sayer aka Bones.

He passed peacefully at Greenslopes Ward 12 approx. 2130 on Friday, 2^nd June 2023.

08 Oct 1948- 02 June 2023.

He deployed to Vietnam with Signal Platoon 2 RAR.

We have received advice of the death on 29 May 2023 of Barry Allan Faulkner.
He was 77. Barry was a National Serviceman who served with 101st Field Battery RAA in Vietnam from September 1966 until June 1967.

Barry had been suffering from cancer and indicated he did not want a funeral. A wake for
Barry is planned but no details have been provided at this stage.

RIP Barry Allan Faulkner.

I wish to advise the passing of Alan Bruce Guarde (Gardy) Admin Coy 9RAR. Alan was one of the original founding members of the 9 RAR Drum and Bugle Band. He passed away peacefully in the Dalby Hospital on Saturday 20th May.

He did not want to have a funeral so will be privately cremated in Toowoomba. His wife Jane will be holding a wake in Dalby on Wednesday 31st May in The Thomas Jack Park cnr Condamine St and Bunya St at 11.30 am light lunch provided bring your own drinks all welcome. For catering please advise Jane if you are attending (0411256623).

Original Drum Major 9 RAR Drum & Bugle Band

We have received advice of the death on Tuesday 23rd May 2023 of David John Burgess. Dave had served with the RAA from April 1954 to October 1969 and rose to the rank of Major. He served with 5th Field Regiment in Brisbane and had been Battery Commander of all Batteries within the Regiment. Dave’s final posting was as Second in Command of the Regiment. He was also heavily
involved in the National Servicemen’s Association of Australia (Brisbane North Branch) until he was overtaken by ill health. Dave died peacefully in his room at Wheller Gardens, in Chermside, Brisbane.
